报告摘要

          Artificial intelligence has attracted much attention as a subject that is believed to revolutionize our lives. While machine learning is a branch of artificial intelligence studies, it has become a well-established subject that drives machines to think by themselves. In this symposium, I will introduce several novel applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning from a computer vision perspective. Specifically, I will present how knowledge transfer techniques can be implemented and applied in several vision-related areas, including sketch-based 3D shape retrieval, sentential description generation from sport videos and 3D scene generation from RGB images. A wide range of advanced learning techniques will also be discussed throughout this symposium, including cross-domain neural network, deep learning image and video representations and deformable part models for athlete detection.

报告人简介:

朱凡,纽约大学阿布扎比分校(New York University Abu Dhabi)电子工程系博士后,于2011年和2015年分别获得英国谢菲尔德大学(University of Sheffield)卓越硕士学位博士学位。主要从事神经网络、三维场景分析、三维特征学习、自动视频标注、目标检测和行为识别方面的研究。在IJCVIEEE TNNLSAAAICVPRACM MMACM CIKM等领域顶级期刊会议上发表论文近20篇,拥有两项国家发明专利,担任IEEE TNNLSIEEE TCYB CVIUNeurocomputing 等期刊的审稿人。
